Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Oatelier (“Oatelier,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you join our waitlist or visit our website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. By joining our waitlist, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Oatelier is a food and beverage brand currently preparing to launch. This policy covers our waitlist signup page and any related pages at oatelier.store. If you have questions, contact us at privacy@oatelier.store.
2. Information we collect
When you join our waitlist, we collect information you give us directly:
- Your name — so we can address you personally in launch updates.
- Your email address — so we can notify you about our launch, early access, and related news.
We may also collect limited information automatically when you visit the page, such as your device type, browser, general location (city/region level), the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through cookies and analytics tools (see Section 5).
We do not ask for or collect sensitive personal information such as government IDs, financial account numbers, health data, or precise geolocation. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Add you to our launch waitlist and send you updates about Oatelier, including launch dates, early access, and product news.
- Personalize the emails we send (for example, using your first name).
- Understand how people find and use our waitlist page so we can improve it.
- Protect our site against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
We will only send you marketing emails because you signed up for them. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money or other valuable consideration. We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed:
- Email marketing platform (Klaviyo): stores your name and email and delivers our waitlist emails on our behalf.
- Website and analytics providers: help us host the site and understand page traffic (see Section 5).
- Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Oatelier or others.
These providers are contractually limited to using your information only to provide services to us.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our waitlist page may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and measure traffic. We may use analytics tools to see how many people visit the page, where they come from, and which content performs well. Depending on the tools we use, this may include privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies or track you across other sites.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. If we add advertising or cross-site tracking tools (such as the Meta Pixel) in the future, we will update this policy and provide any required opt-out controls.
6. Your privacy rights (California residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the following rights:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you.
- Right to access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to delete the personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
In the 12 months before this policy’s effective date, the only categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (your name and email address) and internet/electronic activity (page interactions via analytics). We collect this for the business purposes described in Section 3, and we have not sold or shared it.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@oatelier.store. We will verify your request by confirming control of the email address associated with your waitlist signup, and we will respond within the timeframes required by law (generally 45 days). You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
7. Data retention
We keep your name and email for as long as you remain on our waitlist or until you ask us to remove you. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we will remove your information from our active marketing lists, except where we are required to retain it for legal or recordkeeping purposes.
8. Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, and we rely on established providers (such as Klaviyo) that maintain their own security measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s privacy
Our waitlist is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our business grows or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by email or a notice on our site.
